Symbiotic Relationships

A symbiotic (symbiotic refers to the term used to describe organisms relationships in a biome) relationship in the Tropical Grasslands is the ox-pecker and the rhinoceros. The ox-pecker sits on the rhino and eats the ticks on its back, while also warning the rhino of near danger. The rhinoceros keeps the bird safe, giving it shelter. This is called mutualism. (mutualism is a symbiotic relationship where both parties benefit from the relationship)
